Ember Toys has officially announced and opened pre-orders for the new Blaze Mazinkaiser (Original Version).
The model is inspired by the first appearance of the iconic mecha, a reimagining of Go Nagai’s Mazinger Z, in the video game “Super Robot Wars F Final.”
In the video game, the Mazinkaiser is a powered-up version of the original Mazinger Z, evolved thanks to the display of powerful Getter Beams.
After many years of development, Ember Toys has finally announced the die-cast metal action figure, whose prototype even caught the attention of former “Super Robot Wars” producer Takanobu Terada.
Made of die-cast metal, PVC, ABS, POM and POK, the model measures 26 cm tall and weighs a whopping 1.6 kg (body + Scrander) with 65 articulation points.
Mazinkaiser is packed with many gimmicks, including LED lighting in the chest, which allows to recreate the iconic Fire Blaster attack with a steady or flashing light.
An advanced lighting system illuminates the emblem in the center of the chest, provided in 3 copies for each of the logos that distinguish the robot’s different modes:
Demon Mode (魔): In this state, the Kaiser Pilder is not installed and the Mazinkaiser moves of its own accord.
Z Mode: The default mode used by pilot Koji Kabuto.
God Mode (神): In this state, the Mazinkaiser’s limiters are deactivated and the robot unleashes its full power.
The light-up gimmick in the chest is powered by a battery box hidden within the Kaiser Scrander (requiring 3 LR44 button cells) that can be activated using the Kaiser Pilder’s magnetic control.
The robot has special built-in motors in its forearms that allow it to reproduce the rotation of Turbo Smasher Punches that can be activated through a magnet located inside the Kaiser Pilder (3 LR41 button cells per arm are required).
The equipment, in addition to the main body, includes the Kaiser Pilder, 3 pairs of extra hands, the Kaiser Scrander to attach to the back, 1 alternative still chest plate with 3 interchangeable plates, 1 articulated chest plate to ensure greater mobility to the model wilth LED monitor, 2 Kaiser Blades, 7 effect parts to reproduce the propulsion of the fists and the exit of the swords from the chest and shoulders, 1 effect part to attach to the head to reproduce the photon energy, the Giganto Missile and the display base with the appropriate supprt stands.
In terms of aesthetics, the figure was sculpted by renowned Japanese artist Alan Moriguchi (森口あらん), who has worked on numerous iconic robot models. Based on original drafts and in-game visuals, the design has been reimagined through a modern lens with a focus on sleek, aerodynamic lines. The result is a silhouette that retains a simplicity while exuding the explosive power of a Super Robot. The sharp, meticulously detailed head sculpt captures Mazinkaiser’s unique blend of mechanical precision and emperor ferocity. The massive back wings feature a seamless, split-free design. With its exaggerated proportions and dramatic curves, it exudes a unique and commanding presence.
The Blaze Mazinkaiser (Original Version) will be available for pre-order for 399,000 South Korean Won (official price in $ is 218) starting february 6th from Ember Toys official website with a release scheduled for July 2026.
