Shohoriku has officially announced the new giant statue of Gold Lightan from Gold Lightan: The Golden Warrior, officially licensed by Tatsunoko.
“Ōgon Senshi Gold Lightan” (Gold Lightan: The Golden Warrior) is an anime series produced in 1981 by Tatsunoko, consisting of 52 episodes. It was a huge success not only in Japan but Hong Kong as well.
The Gold Lightan is the mecha protagonist of the series and the leader of the Lightan Corps, a giant golden robot warrior that can transform into a normal-sized golden lighter.
This is a truly unique model because in fact, it is the first time a model of this size has been created, as it is difficult to produce; however, Shohoriku has accepted the challenge, offering all the fans this spectacular 65 cm tall statue.
Featuring a striking gold electroplating, the statue features an opening chest compartment that can hold all the members of the Lightan Corps, which Shohoriku is currently producing as a model kit with die-cast metal parts from the Saigokin line.
The giant Gold Lightan statue will be available for pre-order on Shohoriku’s official website starting February 8, 2026, for HK$ 3,388, with a release date set for June 2026.
