Shohoriku has officially announced the new Saigokin model kit (with alloy parts) of I.C. Lightan from Gold Lightan The Golden Warrior, officially licensed by Tatsunoko.
The Saigokin line aims to offer consumers a dual experience: the joy of building their own model and the fun of playing with die-cast metal figures.
The company offers a model kit with a die-cast metal skeleton featuring a robust construction design with easy-to-remove sprues, allowing fans to bring their creations to life in a unique and personal way.
“Ōgon Senshi Gold Lightan” (Gold Lightan The Golden Warrior) is an anime series produced in 1981 by Tatsunoko, consisting of 52 episodes, that was a great success not only in Japan but also Hong Kong.
Following the Gold Lightan and the Scope Lightan, Shohoriku is now offering the third model in the Saigokin line, the I.C. Lightan.
I.C. (Interpret Computer) Lightan is the information and communications officer of the Lightan Corps, capable of analyzing any type of data and translating from many alien languages.
Featuring a foldable aluminum alloy antenna, a full transformation with an anime-accurate design, articulated fingers, and LED lights, the model stands approximately 14 cm tall.
The visor features a lenticular sticker showing three different images depending on the angle.
As a bonus, a plated keychain featuring the series logo will be included.
Limited to only 300 copies, the model will be available for pre-order on the official Shohoriku website starting February 8th 2026 at 9 AM for HK$238 with a release scheduled for May 2026.
