David W. Mack is an American writer, artist, director, and designer.

Throughout his extensive career, he has worked with all the major players in the American publishing industry (Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image and others).
He is the author and artist of the New York Times best-selling book “Kabuki” and a writer for Marvel’s Daredevil, for which he co-created the character of Echo with Joe Quesada.



He earned an Emmy Award nomination for the opening credits of “Jessica Jones” on Netflix, did the covers for Neil Gaiman’s “American Gods” and “Norse Mythology,” “Jessica Jones” and for Chuck Palahniuk’s “Fight Club 2” comic book.
For the Oscar-nominated movie “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Mack created the graphics and concept arts for the title sequence with Sarofsky Designs, which received the Excellence in Titles Design Award.





His most recent graphic work lent to a Marvel signature series was used for the new TV show “Daredevil: Born Again”. All the graphics shown in the TV series were created by Mack, and during The Lake Como Comic Art Festival 2025, his works were displayed in a dedicated exhibition.
Mack’s work has garnered nominations for ten Eisner Awards, four International Eagle Awards and the Harvey and Kirby Awards in the “Best New Talent” category, as well as many other national and international awards and nominations.
David Mack is also the creator of “Butterfly Effect”, the latest volume translated and published in Italy by Mirage Comics, where the artist tries his hand at narrating and illustrating the adventures of a cat.
